The ESM module gives the option to add additional emergency stop button or 2NC safety device to the EM1 control unit and maintain CAT4 SIL3 PLe performance. The ESM connects via a built in 6-way strap to the adjacent EM1/ESM module. The ESM accepts 2 closed contact inputs from either an emergency stop button or mechanical safety switch (locking or non-locking) Indicator LED’s on the ESM provide diagnostic information along with volt free contact status indicator.
