RSS-SERIES are uniquely coded RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) safety switches with volt free contact outputs. They offer protection against manipulation, interference and defeat making them ideal for use in high risk applications.
These vibration-proof safety switches feature agent resistant plastic enclosures and epoxy resin for a protection level up to IP69K. The volt free contact outputs make the RSS-SERIES compatible with most safety relays on the market.
The unique coding has up to 4 billion individual codes available making code duplication near impossible.
The RSSR and RSSG can switch 2Amps at 24VDC/230VAC and can work with most safety relays on the market. RDNK, RSSO and RSSK are designed to be connected to a safety control circuit which has less than 0.5Amps inrush current.
The Mechan RSS-Series are RFID operated safety switches. Using Mechan’s uniquely coded RFID switching system, the RSS-Series safety switches provide a more secure non-contact safety switch.
The RSS-Series has ‘teach’ enabled and allows for a new actuator to be resynced to one of 4,000,000,000 possible codes.
Built and sealed to IP67 & IP69K, the RSS-Series is capable of working in wash-down areas making them ideal for use in the food processing / filling and packing industries as well as many other non-locking machine guard applications.
With precise switching and indication on the switch, reliable operation is assured along with easy operator identification of guard status.
The RSS-Series safety switches can approach each other from most directions. When closed the targets printed on the front face of the switches must be aligned. (Large target to large target and small target to small target). When the power is on and the switch and actuator are apart the Normally Open contact(s) will be open and the Normally Closed contact will be closed. When the actuator is brought within the specified switching distance the Normally Open contact(s) will close and the Normally Closed contact will open.
The RSS-Series safety switches are available in 5 sizes, the RDNK, RSSC, RSSK, RSSR and RSSG.
